But here\u00a0<strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.elnacionalbcn.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El Nacional<\/a>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>is also breaking with tradition and offers one of\u00a0<strong>the best fish and seafood paellas in the\u00a0<em>Passeig de Gr\u00e0cia<\/em>, in the heart of Barcelona<\/strong>, without having to go down to the sea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.elnacionalbcn.com\/en\/restaurantes\/la-llotja\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-5579 aligncenter\" title=\"El-Nacional-La-Llotja-Paella\" src=\"https:\/\/www.elnacionalbcn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/38.jpg\" alt=\"El-Nacional-La-Llotja-Paella\" width=\"639\" height=\"425\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more-->The\u00a0<em>paella<\/em>\u00a0from<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.elnacionalbcn.com\/en\/restaurantes\/la-llotja\/\"><em>La Llotja<\/em>\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>is slow cooked, in the Catalonian-style, with a saut\u00e9 of onion, pepper, tomato and squid, reduced and caramelized over a long time, to which a chopped sauce or Alicante \u2018salmorreta\u2019 is added, which is prepared here with oven roasted spicy red peppers and tomatoes, and the cuttlefish\u2019s spleen, giving it a delicious taste of the sea. The rice is poured into this enriched saut\u00e9, which is bathed in a fish broth prepared with mantis shrimps, crabs and rockfish, to which a third portion of chopped food is added to give it even more flavour and the dish is finished in the oven.\u00a0<em>La Llotja<\/em>\u2019s paella normally has Norway lobsters, Mediterranean king prawns and Carril clams, but other ingredients may be incorporated, depending on the market.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Fideu\u00e1 (Noodle paella) and black rice<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to the paella, rice-lovers can also enjoy a\u00a0<strong>black rice of fish and shellfish<\/strong>, with similar ingredients to those used in paella, plus the cuttlefish\u2019s ink.
